What We Offer

Three Ways to Work with Slowharbor

Each session is designed around one clear purpose: making retirement paperwork less opaque. Clerical work, educational briefings, and family stewardship — nothing more, nothing less.

Retirement forms and glossary materials

Vocabulary & Forms Briefing

A two-hour group session covering the language of retirement paperwork — what forms are called, what fields record, and how institutions structure their correspondence. Purely educational. Held in Kuantan or online, with a printed glossary and annotated blank forms.

  • Printed glossary of standard terms included
  • Annotated blank forms for self-reference
  • Available online or in Kuantan
  • No individual advice given
Indexed records binder and filing

Single-File Records Build

A three-hour appointment where a coordinator sorts, indexes, and labels the documents you bring. You leave with a bound file, a contents page, and a scanned copy on your own drive. A written gap list notes which employers or reference numbers appear absent.

  • Bound file with clear contents page
  • Scanned copy on your own drive
  • Written gap list at the end
  • Clerical work only — no interpretation
RM 1,050 Book a Session
Family records management and handover

Family Records Stewardship

A four-month engagement for families holding papers on behalf of an older relative. Includes a master register, correspondence log, submission calendar, quarterly reviews, and a neutral chronological summary for handover to a qualified professional.

  • Master register and correspondence log
  • Quarterly review meetings
  • Printed and digital handover pack
  • Directory of registered Pahang practitioners

Why Slowharbor

What Draws People to Work With Us

We do a narrow set of things and do them carefully. Families in Pahang come to Slowharbor because they want help with paperwork — not decisions, not opinions, not pressure.

No Advice, No Pressure

Every session is educational or clerical. We make no recommendations about what to do with your records. You remain in full control of every decision.

Plain-Language Sessions

Our briefings are designed for readers who may not be familiar with bureaucratic language. We use plain English throughout, with no assumed prior knowledge.

Organised, Indexed Files

Papers that arrive loose and out of sequence leave in a bound, indexed file with a contents page and a scanned backup — ready to hand to a professional or store at home.

Family-Ready Handovers

The stewardship engagement produces a handover pack designed to be understood by any family member or qualified professional — clear, dated, and complete.

Based in Kuantan, Pahang

Sessions can be held at our Kuantan office or online. We understand the local context of retirement records and the institutions families in Pahang commonly deal with.

Work at a Measured Pace

There is no urgency here. Sessions are paced for people who may be dealing with paperwork for the first time, or on behalf of someone who cannot manage it themselves.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does Slowharbor do?

We offer two types of support. The first is educational: group briefings that explain the language and structure of retirement paperwork, without commenting on any individual's situation. The second is clerical: sorting, indexing, and labelling documents you bring to us, so they are easier to navigate and to hand over to a qualified professional. We do not give advice of any kind.

Who attends the Vocabulary and Forms Briefing?

The briefing is designed for anyone who wants to understand retirement-related correspondence and forms better — whether they are approaching retirement themselves, helping a spouse, or assisting an elderly parent. Groups of up to eight attend each session. We do not offer individual advice during or after the session.

What documents should I bring to the Single-File Records Build?

Bring whatever retirement or employment records you have — even if they are loose, unsorted, or you are unsure what they are. The three-hour appointment is specifically for sorting and organising whatever arrives. At the end you will receive a gap list noting which employers, years, or reference numbers do not appear in what you brought, along with general information about where such copies are ordinarily requested from.

How does the Family Records Stewardship work over four months?

We start with an intake meeting to understand which documents exist and which are missing. From there we maintain a master register, a dated correspondence log, and a submission calendar — all built from the copies you provide. We meet quarterly for review. At the end of the four months, we produce a printed and digital handover pack, including a chronological summary and a directory of registered practitioners in Pahang. We do not file, send, or act on anything ourselves.

Can you tell us what we should do with our records?

No. Slowharbor provides educational information and clerical organisation only. Any decisions about what to do with your pension or retirement records — or what steps to take — should be discussed with a qualified, registered professional. We include a directory of Pahang practitioners in our stewardship handover pack for exactly this reason.

How much do the sessions cost and what is included?

The Vocabulary and Forms Briefing is RM 470 per attendee and includes a printed glossary and annotated blank forms. The Single-File Records Build is RM 1,050 and includes the bound file, contents page, scanned copy on your drive, and written gap list. The Family Records Stewardship engagement is RM 3,720 for four months, including all registers, reviews, and the final handover pack.

How is my personal information handled?

Documents you bring to a session are handled only by our coordinator, used solely for the purpose of the engagement, and are not copied, stored, or shared beyond what is needed to complete the work. We are subject to Malaysian data protection requirements. Our full privacy policy is available on this site.
